Privacy and data protection policy
How Dance Factory Studios handles personal information under UK data-protection law.
Last updated: 2 September 2026Information we use
- We collect registration and contact details, dates of birth, attendance, class choices, emergency contacts, medical or additional-needs information, permissions, communications and account records.
- Payment card details are collected and held by Stripe. Our systems store Stripe identifiers and payment status, not full card numbers or security codes.
- We use information to administer membership and classes, safeguard students, communicate with families, process payments, meet legal duties and pursue legitimate operational interests.
Sharing, retention and security
- Information is shared only where needed with authorised staff and service providers, or with safeguarding, regulatory, professional or law-enforcement bodies where required or justified.
- We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards. Access is limited according to role. Records are retained only for as long as needed for their purpose, safeguarding, tax, insurance or legal requirements.
- Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where applicable, appropriate legal safeguards must be used.
Your rights
- Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
- To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact Dance Factory Studios. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
- We may update this policy when our services or legal duties change. The current version and revision date will be shown on this page.
