Use of Images

How photographs and recordings of students may be taken and used.

Purpose and permission

• Images and recordings may be used to celebrate achievement, support teaching, document performances and promote Dance Factory Studios in print, online and on social media.
• Registration records any exceptions you give us. You may also withdraw or change permission for future use by contacting the studio; this does not normally affect material already lawfully published.
• We will take particular care with children and will avoid pairing a child’s full name with an image unless there is a clear reason and specific permission.

Safe photography

• Only authorised staff, contractors or event photographers may photograph or record in restricted teaching, rehearsal, backstage or changing areas.
• Parents and audience members must follow event-specific photography instructions. Images must not be taken or shared where the studio has prohibited photography or where doing so could compromise another child’s privacy or safety.
• Concerns about an image should be reported to the studio promptly so it can be reviewed and, where reasonably possible, removed from channels we control.
